The Eastbourne and South Wealden M.S. Society

Our group supports people affected by Multiple Sclerosis in the area of East Sussex taking in Eastbourne, Seaford, Polegate,Hailsham and surrounding villages.

We provide advice, advocacy (through a specialist advocacy charity), financial assistance to help provide essential equipment, make alterations and for respite care.

We work to ensure that people with M.S. Do not feel excluded from mainstream life.

Our support volunteers visit members in their own homes if requested and we keep our members informed it’s our monthly newsletter ‘Mainstream’, by telephone, via our website, Facebook and Twitter.

We provide transport through our team of voluntary drivers and through a friendly, professional accessible transport service for our less mobile members.

We provide regular social activities and outings throughout our area and support a range of exercise classes.  Exercise can improve the overall health of people with milder M.S. And help people with more severe M.S. to stay as mobile and active as possible.

How you can help:

By becoming a volunteer. We welcome people who have an hour occasionally or help on a regular basis; as drivers, support volunteers or help with funding raising.

By becoming a member of our Group and the National M.S. society.

By supporting us with a standing order, or by raising funds independently through a sponsored activity or event.
